The adoring husband of Maria and the most loving, generous and inspirational dad to his three beautiful daughters, "GV" was a man who walked among the greats - a great leader, mentor and positive influence to everyone who knew him, George will be remembered for his selflessness, his strength and for the love he had for his family.

Eleven years ago George founded the Australia/New Zealand affiliate of the global pharmaceutical company Celgene. Dedicated to the development of innovative and life-changing cancer treatments, George's career was built on his passion for helping others and taking every opportunity that life threw at him, including living and working abroad and mentoring his staff to push boundaries and achieve incredible things.

George's passion for cancer research started five years when he and a friend established the annual "Ride as One" cycling event, which saw a team of forty people committing themselves to a week-long, thousand kilometre ride for blood cancer. Over five consecutive years George cycled around Australia, New Zealand and Japan, raising thousands of dollars for the Leukaemia Foundation.

In February 2018 George was suddenly and shockingly diagnosed with a rare Adrenocortical Carcinoma cancer, of which only 1 in 1 million people are diagnosed each year. His strength, bravery, and perseverance throughout his battle will be forever remembered and an inspiration to all.

On behalf of George's family, we thank you kindly for your generous donation and support of research into this rare disease.
