Cancer Chicks

Cancer Chicks is a support community for young women between the ages of 18-35 who have been impacted by cancer or other severe chronic illness. A safe and supportive space for women to share their stories, connect and access resources.

When Rikki Stern was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 20, she craved contact with others in her position but could not find community support for women her age.

That inspired her to launch Cancer Chicks. What started as a small online support group became a charity with support services and a thriving community.

Cancer Chicks strongly believe that young women with severe illness need a break from the confinement of their homes and hospitals as well as an opportunity to be re-empowered and feel supported.

Our Mission

To provide our Cancer Chicks with a safe and supportive space to share their stories, connect with others who understand and access the resources they need to live with confidence and hope.

We strive to be the leading voice for young women with severe illness, advocating for their needs and providing a platform for their stories to be heard.

Our Vision

To support, empower and enhance the lives of all young women affected by cancer and severe chronic and terminal illness.

RCA is not affiliated with this organisation. It is the responsibility of the patient and their carer(s) to determine whether this or any other support group or organisation listed on this website may provide some benefit to them.
