Dr Sumitra Ananda is a Medical Oncologist based at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre,Western Health and Epworth Freemason’s. Her particular interests are in Gynaecological and Gastrointestinal Cancers,(manages all solid tumours). She is focused on providing first class patient care whilst conducting high quality clinical and translational research. She is an Associate Director of Cancer Trials Australia which provides a fully comprehensive oncology clinical trialsresearch studies performed to test new treatments, tests or procedures and evaluate their effectiveness on various diseases service. She leads the clinical trials program and education at Western Health and has an established track record in being a Principal Investigator in multiple clinical trials.Her current research interest is in circulating tumour DNA.
